On October 22, 2005, Kristina Nicole Flatt died suddenly at the age of twenty-one from an adverse reaction to a prescription drug. Krissi was uniformed of the risks associated with her prescribed medication. Parents and young adults should be better informed of the side effects associated with over the counter drugs as well as prescribed drugs.

Public Awareness & Education Efforts


Knowldge is the key to preventing adverse drug reactions.

The Krissi Flatt Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to save lives through public awareness and education about potential adverse reactions to prescription drugs.

Adverse drug reactions are one of the leading causes of death in the United States.

The Krissi Flatt Foundation’s goal is to complement prescription drug research through public outreach about the effects of prescription drugs and their interactions with other drugs and substances.
